Best AI visibility tools for ecommerce: 8 picks compared

8 AI visibility tools for stores, checked on vendor pages Sep–Oct 2026: which entry plans track Perplexity, name cited URLs and fix your pages.

CitedIndex EditorialPublished 15 min readEditorial policy
Logos of LLM Pulse, Goodie, Peec AI, Writesonic, VisibAI, RankZero, BrightEdge, AI Visibility Audit. 8 tools compared, from $99 a month.

The short answer

For most stores, we’d start with LLM Pulse: its Starter plan, from €49 a month (about $55), includes ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews with no add-on [1][2]. Pick Goodie Pro, $999 a month billed annually, for SKU-level shopping answers, and RankZero if you want an agency to do the work [3][4][5].

Check the plan you can afford, not the product page. Three of our 8 picks track Perplexity only above their entry plan or not at all [6]. Two of the 8 have a free plan [7].

We picked 8 of the 116 AI visibility monitoring tools CitedIndex listed on 28 October 2026 [7].

The 8 picks compared on what a store needs to check

Read the Perplexity column first. Peec AI is disputed [8][9][10].

How we ranked: 8 picks, each read on the vendor’s own pricing, feature, documentation and repository pages between 2 September and 27 October 2026 [7]. Prices are the vendor’s own, shown in USD, with the EUR original where the vendor prices in EUR [1][15][20]. We read the pages and did not run the tools. For how each vendor documents its measurement, see which tools publish how they measure.

LLM Pulse: best for small stores that want all three engines on the cheapest plan

Starter, from €49 a month (about $55), includes ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews with no add-on [1][2]. LLM Pulse’s pricing page says: “ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews are in every tier, Starter included.” [1]

Citation and source analysis is in the Starter feature list, showing which domains and pages the models cite [2]. GEO Writer analyses pages you already have and returns improvement guidance [11]. Tracked prompts run on a schedule on every plan [39]. There is a 14-day free trial [1]. No full rate card is published [1].

Best for: small teams that want self-serve tracking with API, CLI and MCP access [12].

Watch out: ChatGPT Shopping starts on Scale at €299 a month (about $334), not on Starter or Growth [1]. Alexa for Shopping, formerly Amazon Rufus, is a paid add-on on every tier, from €8 a month (about $8.94) per model [1]. The Alexa for Shopping add-on covers brand mentions, product recommendations, competitor mentions and visibility trends, updated weekly by default [40]. Claude, Copilot, Grok and DeepSeek are per-engine add-ons too [12].

Goodie: best for ecommerce teams that need SKU-level shopping answers

Goodie’s Pro plan, $999 a month billed annually or $1,198.80 billed monthly, includes SKU-level agentic commerce visibility across 5+ models [4][3]. Its Agentic Commerce Suite tracks how products appear across ChatGPT Shopping, Amazon Alexa for Shopping and AI Mode Shopping [41]. Per product, it tracks mention frequency, ranking position in shopping comparisons and competitor product placement [41]. Its FAQ also lists Perplexity Shopping [41].

Core, $354 a month or $295 billed annually, already tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews [4]. It reports the domains AI engines lean on when they mention you [13]. It audits pages you own against the sources AI cites for competitors and returns named gaps [14]. Visibility breaks down by “geography, persona, model, language, and topic category” [13]. There is a 7-day free trial [4].

Best for: ecommerce and mid-market SaaS teams [42].

Watch out: SKU-level tracking is not listed on Core [3]. Full coverage of all 11+ engines and a general-purpose public API need Enterprise, priced on a demo [4][42]. Goodie also has an MCP connection to your account [43]; see which AI-visibility tools your own AI agent can query.

Peec AI: best for Shopify stores that want per-product data from their own catalog

Peec AI’s AI Shopping reads your product catalogue from Shopify, or from a CSV, including one from Google Merchant Center [15]. It reports “Visibility, Position, and Win rate on a per-product basis, in addition to brand-level metrics.” [15] The pricing page does not map AI Shopping to a plan [15]. Peec launched it as SKU-level visibility into AI shopping, available to existing users [44].

Entry is €85 a month (about $95) [15]. ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews are on every brand plan [45][15]. Source analytics break citations down by domain, subdomain and URL [15]. Content actions open an existing page beside recommendations [16]. Prompts run daily [46]. “Each brand or market is its own project with its own prompt set, competitors and AI engines.” [47] There is a 7-day free trial [15].

Best for: mid-market marketing teams and agencies running AI-visibility programs [17].

Watch out: Perplexity. Peec’s own AI-instructions page, last updated in July 2026, says all tiers include it [8]. Xtrusio (checked 10 October 2026) and AI Ranked (15 October 2026) report it as an extra model [9][10]. AI Ranked puts it at $30, $70 or $140 a month on annual billing for Starter, Pro and Advanced [10]. Peec’s own page lists one extra model at +$35, +$85 and +$165 a month on monthly billing [8]. API and MCP need the custom Enterprise plan [17].

Writesonic: best for teams that want ranked cited domains and pages

Starter at $99 a month, or $79 billed annually, tracks ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews [18]. Its Citations pages rank the domains and individual pages AI engines cite, plus third-party pages that mention the brand [19]. Starter runs 50 prompts and 50 answers daily [18]. Growth, at $399 a month billed annually, is the lowest tier with Sentiment Analysis and a limited Action Center [18]. There is a 7-day free trial [18].

Best for: teams that want cited domains, pages and third-party mentions ranked [19].

Watch out: Starter, Basic and Growth track only ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews [18]. In Writesonic’s words, “Enterprise tracks all 9 platforms including Perplexity, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, Google AI Mode, and Muse Spark.” [18] Shopping & Agentic Commerce is also Enterprise only, at custom pricing [18]. The pricing page lists no add-on for AI platforms [18].

VisibAI: best for a low-cost, one-off audit of your own store

A single Starter audit costs a one-time €29 (about $32), and a free ChatGPT-only audit is allowed every 90 days with no card [20]. Each audit returns a severity-ranked fix list against the site you already have, naming the change for every issue found [24]. Monthly plans run from €79 (about $88) for Pro to €149 (about $166) for Brand or Agency, plus a custom-quoted Enterprise tier [20]. Perplexity is excluded only from the free audit [21]. VisibAI says its audits cover “ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Mistral and You.com.” [21]

Best for: small businesses, ecommerce brands and agencies that want a low-cost, EU-hosted audit [48].

Watch out: Google AI Overviews is not in its six-platform inventory [22]. It separates a brand mention from a citation of your own URL, but no cited-domain inventory is documented [23]. There is no Copilot, no API and no established track record of independent reviews [48].

RankZero: best for brands that want an agency to do the work

RankZero is a done-for-you retainer [49]. Tier 1 optimises 10 to 20 pages in depth and Tier 2 20 to 50 [50]. Both promise a 25%+ AI traffic lift in 90 days, or RankZero keeps working [50]. Tier 3 promises 50%+ [50]. The lift is measured as AI-referred sessions in your own GA4, against the 90 days before kickoff [49].

Its platform runs a fixed prompt set every 24 hours [51]. A Sources view breaks citations down by domain and by URL [27]. The ChatGPT tracker shows “which pages it cited to get there, and who it recommends when the answer leaves you out.” [26] Google AI Overviews is the one engine on the cheapest Lite plan; ChatGPT comes on tiers above Lite [26].

Best for: SaaS and ecommerce brands that want a done-for-you agency backed by a written traffic-lift guarantee [5].

Watch out: prices are not published; each retainer is scoped on a call after a free AI visibility audit [49]. Shopping and product-level tracking are not mentioned on its pricing page (28 October 2026) [49].

BrightEdge: best for enterprise SEO teams running stores across markets

BrightEdge tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews [52][30][31]. “BrightEdge AI Catalyst tracks how often your brand is mentioned and cited across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini and other AI platforms” [30]. AI Hyper Cube names the domains and the exact content behind AI answers in a category [32]. Recommendations issues page-level instructions for existing pages [33]. AI Overviews is its most developed surface, with citation gaps and a Share of Voice filter [31].

Best for: enterprise SEO teams tracking rankings and AI search visibility across markets [34].

Watch out: the price is on request and there is no free plan [29]. Buying means a sales negotiation and an annual contract [34].

AI Visibility Audit: best for technical teams that want to self-host

Syntropic’s AI Visibility Audit is free and self-hosted on GitHub [35][38]. It reports the domains AI engines cite for each answer and flags whether your own pages are among them [36]. It ends in a prioritised fix list [37].

Best for: technical teams comfortable with Docker and API keys [38].

Watch out: there is no Perplexity provider, and no tier or add-on adds one [36]. It needs Gemini, Exa and DataForSEO API keys [36]. The README states no running cost [36]. DataForSEO’s minimum top-up is $50, and its standard Google SERP queue costs $0.60 per 1,000 SERPs, doubled when AI Overview loads async [53][54]. ChatGPT needs a Bright Data account [36]. In the README’s words: “Without it you’ll track Google AI Overview only (via DataForSEO).” [36] Bright Data has a free tier of 5,000 monthly credits [55]. The fix list comes from AI answers only; the tool does not yet inspect your storefront [37]. For storefront checks, see AI visibility tools that handle technical AEO. Its source inventory includes Google AI Mode [36]; compare it in which tools cover Google AI Mode.

Product and shopping-answer tracking costs more than the entry plan

Where a pick prices product or shopping tracking, it sits above the entry plan [3][1][18].

  • Goodie: SKU-level tracking on Pro at $999 a month billed annually; not listed on Core [3].
  • LLM Pulse: ChatGPT Shopping on Scale at €299 a month (about $334) and Enterprise [1]. Alexa for Shopping is an add-on on every tier [1].
  • Writesonic: Shopping & Agentic Commerce on custom-priced Enterprise only [18].
  • Peec AI: per-product metrics, with no plan named on the pricing page [15].
  • RankZero: not mentioned on the pricing page (28 October 2026) [49].

Which tool fits your store

Pick by the one thing you can’t do without.

  • All three engines on a small budget: LLM Pulse, from €49 a month (about $55) with ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews on Starter [1][2].
  • SKU-level shopping answers: Goodie Pro, $999 a month billed annually [3].
  • A Shopify catalogue feed: Peec AI, which fetches your catalogue from Shopify or a Merchant Center CSV [15].
  • Work done for you: RankZero, with a 25%+ AI traffic lift guarantee on Tiers 1 and 2 [5][50].
  • A one-off check of your store: VisibAI, €29 (about $32) per audit with a fix list [20][24].
  • Enterprise scale across markets: BrightEdge, bought through sales on an annual contract [34].
  • Self-hosted, no licence fee: AI Visibility Audit, free on GitHub [35][38].
  • If Perplexity matters: skip Writesonic below Enterprise and the AI Visibility Audit [18][36].

How we checked

We read each of the 8 picks’ own pricing, feature, documentation and repository pages between 2 September and 27 October 2026 [7]. We recorded engine coverage, cited-source capture and entry price [6]. Shopping and add-on details were read on 28 October 2026 [3][1]. We did not run the tools.

What weighed most: Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews on the entry plan. Then cited URLs, own-page fixes, how you buy, and price. Prices are the vendors’ own. Third-party sources were used only for the Peec AI Perplexity conflict: Xtrusio and AI Ranked [9][10].

Questions ecommerce buyers ask

Which AI visibility tool is best for a Shopify or DTC store? For a Shopify catalogue, Peec AI fetches products from Shopify and reports visibility, position and win rate per product [15]. On a small budget, LLM Pulse Starter covers ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews from €49 a month (about $55) [1][2]. For SKU-level shopping answers, Goodie Pro [3].

Does the plan I can afford track Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews? Not always: three of our 8 picks track Perplexity only above entry or not at all [6]. Writesonic’s self-serve tiers track ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews [18]. The AI Visibility Audit has no Perplexity [36]. VisibAI has no Google AI Overviews [22]. LLM Pulse and Goodie include all three on their entry plans [1][4].

Will the tool show which URLs and domains AI answers cite for my product category? Peec AI, RankZero, LLM Pulse, Writesonic and BrightEdge name cited domains and URLs or pages [15][27][2][19][32]. VisibAI separates citations of your own URL but documents no cited-domain inventory [23].

Does it tell me what to change on my own product and category pages? LLM Pulse, Goodie, VisibAI, BrightEdge and RankZero work on pages you already have [11][14][24][33][28]. The AI Visibility Audit’s fix list comes from AI answers only and does not inspect your storefront yet [37].

Should I buy a self-serve tool or pay an agency? Buy self-serve if your team will act on the data; LLM Pulse is self-serve with API, CLI and MCP [12]. RankZero does the work, optimising 10 to 20 pages on Tier 1 and 20 to 50 on Tier 2, with a 25%+ lift guarantee measured in your GA4 [50][49]. Its price is scoped on a call [49].

Can it track individual products and shopping answers, not just the brand? Yes, on some plans. Goodie Pro tracks per-product mention frequency, ranking position and competitor placement across ChatGPT Shopping, Alexa for Shopping and AI Mode Shopping [3][41]. LLM Pulse has ChatGPT Shopping from Scale and Alexa for Shopping as an add-on [1]. Peec AI reports per product [15]. Writesonic keeps shopping on Enterprise [18]. RankZero’s pricing page does not mention it [49].

Best AI visibility tools for brand sentiment

Rankshift, RadarKit, Amplitude, CisionOne and Archytas AISpy report the sentiment AI answers attach to a brand; the others do it partly or not at all.
