The short answer

For a full read on how AI answers describe a brand, Rankshift leads: its Brand Perception module groups positive and negative themes per AI model on top of a sentiment score from -10 to +10, and it tracks Claude as well.

RadarKit adds the attribute phrases AI ties to a brand at $29 a month but leaves out Claude. Amplitude AI Visibility gives a Sentiment tab at $0 a month across ChatGPT and Google AI Overview.

We answered 32 questions about what these 8 tools do, each on the vendor’s own pages, between 1 September 2026 and 18 October 2026. On 23 October 2026 we listed 138 tools: 109 of them under AI visibility monitoring, 42 with a free plan and 68 confirmed for Brand sentiment. We also asked 4 answer engines through their APIs (ChatGPT on gpt-4o-mini, Perplexity on sonar, Claude on claude-haiku-4-5 and Gemini on gemini-2.5-flash) for alternatives to each of these 8 tools, between 4 September 2026 and 12 October 2026; the site their 30 answers cited most was llmpulse.ai, in 8 of them.

  • Rankshift, RadarKit, Amplitude AI Visibility, CisionOne AI Visibility and Archytas AISpy report brand sentiment, 5 of the 8.
  • Amplitude AI Visibility includes a Sentiment tab at $0 a month that labels each answer positive, negative, mixed or neutral, but Amplitude names only ChatGPT and Google AI Overview as monitored in all plans.
  • RadarKit costs $29 a month for a sentiment breakdown with attribute phrases, but it does not track Claude on any plan.
  • Bloomiro and AI Search Watcher handle sentiment only partly, and auto-geo not at all: Bloomiro gives a 0-100 tone score with no trait association, AI Search Watcher publishes no sentiment score, and auto-geo leaves the reading of its raw answer text to you.
  • Brand sentiment is confirmed for 68 of the 138 tools listed on 23 October 2026, of which 109 sit under AI visibility monitoring.

The picks

1. Rankshift

Best for sentiment tracking with AI crawler logs: Rankshift logs real AI-bot visits to your site, with bot name, page path and status code, on every self-serve tier, beside answer tracking across 9 engines.

  • Free trial: 30 days
  • Who it’s for: Marketing and search teams that want the widest engine list plus proof of which pages AI crawlers fetch, and accept a newer vendor with little public review history.
  • Skip it if: You plan to track hundreds of prompts, since they are added one at a time; AI Search Watcher suggests realistic prompts to track.

Rankshift tracks brand and competitor presence in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Mistral and Meta AI. Its Agent Analytics logs which AI bots visit which pages, so answer data sits beside real crawler traffic. Grok and DeepSeek are not tracked.

Every plan carries unlimited projects and seats, and credits are the limit. Claude and Copilot runs cost more credits than the other engines, so they drain the pool faster. Buyers can start with a 30-day free trial.

Data reaches Looker Studio, BigQuery and Tableau over a standard database connection. A content brief generator and writer turn a visibility gap into a draft, though independent reviewers call the writer rougher than the tracking core.

What it does well

  • Logs real AI-bot visits per page on every self-serve tier.
  • Tracks 9 engines, including Google AI Mode and Meta AI.
  • Unlimited projects and seats on every plan.
  • A 30-day free trial.

Where it falls short

  • Prompts are added one at a time with no bulk import, so tracking hundreds is slow.
  • Claude and Copilot runs use more credits than other engines.
  • No user reviews yet on Slashdot or SourceForge, so there is little independent track record.

2. RadarKit

Best for local business prompt tracking: RadarKit tracks prompts by location in 50+ countries on every paid self-serve plan, from $29 a month.

  • Price: $29 a month
  • Free trial: 7 days
  • Who it’s for: Small marketing teams and solo practitioners who want a low-cost tracker across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and both Google AI surfaces, with content, outreach, Reddit and chat agents bundled in.
  • Skip it if: You need Claude answers, which it does not monitor; AI Search Watcher and Archytas AISpy both track Claude.

RadarKit visits ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Google AI Overview and Google AI Mode through real browsers on residential internet connections, rather than polling an API. Location tracking covers 50+ countries on self-serve plans and 70+ on Enterprise, but state and city tracking is off below Enterprise.

The Lite plan costs $29 a month and gives 2 projects, 15 tracked prompts, a 72-hour refresh and 6 Content Agent articles a month. A 7-day free trial comes first. Growth, Pro and Enterprise allow 5, 10 and unlimited projects, so agencies can separate clients.

Search Console, Google Analytics and WordPress integrations come on every paid tier. Beside Rankshift, it covers fewer engines and adds agents that write articles and run outreach and Reddit actions.

What it does well

  • Lite costs $29 a month.
  • Tracks prompts by location in 50+ countries on self-serve plans.
  • Content, outreach and Reddit agents are included, with 6 articles a month on Lite.
  • Checks the real chat interfaces in a browser, the way a buyer sees them.

Where it falls short

  • Claude is not monitored on any plan.
  • Lite refreshes every 72 hours, while Growth and Pro refresh daily.
  • The product is under a year old and has no independent reviews on the big software review sites.

3. AI Search Watcher

Best for Mangools KWFinder and SERPWatcher users: AI Search Watcher gives Mangools users AI answer tracking that reports how models describe and frame a brand when they mention it, across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok and both Google AI surfaces.

  • Free plan: yes
  • Who it’s for: Teams already using or weighing Mangools’ KWFinder and SERPWatcher who want AI answer tracking from the same vendor.
  • Skip it if: Microsoft Copilot answers matter to you, since it is not covered; RadarKit and Bloomiro both track Copilot.

AI Search Watcher monitors ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Mistral and Llama for brand and competitor mentions. Beyond a named or not-named check, it reports how the models frame the brand. Copilot is not covered on any plan.

A free plan exists, capped at a single monitor, while Pro carries unlimited monitors. A documented API covering models, monitors and prompts is included on every tier, Free too. Each monitor takes a country or city location.

It repeats the same prompts on a schedule so the mention rate is a stable percentage, and it suggests prompts to track. It writes no content, and data reaches a warehouse or dashboard only through the API.

What it does well

  • Reports how models frame the brand, beyond whether they name it.
  • A free plan to start.
  • API included on every tier, Free too.
  • Covers Claude, Grok and Mistral besides ChatGPT and Gemini.

Where it falls short

  • Microsoft Copilot is not tracked.
  • The free plan is capped at a single monitor.
  • The money-back guarantee lasts 48 hours.

4. Amplitude AI Visibility

Best for Amplitude teams tying visibility to revenue: Amplitude AI Visibility labels AI answers about the brand as positive, neutral or negative and joins AI-referred visits to Amplitude’s conversion and revenue data.

  • Price: $0 a month
  • Free plan: yes
  • Who it’s for: Growth and marketing teams already on Amplitude that want a free first read on AI answer visibility tied to revenue.
  • Skip it if: You need Claude, Gemini or Google AI Mode answers, which it does not query on any plan; Rankshift tracks all three.

Amplitude AI Visibility scores how often a brand appears in ChatGPT and Google AI Overview answers against named competitors. Sentiment analysis flags each answer as positive, neutral or negative, and a recommendations panel suggests fixes. A Generate Content action writes blog posts, product descriptions, frequently asked questions and landing pages.

It costs $0 a month and comes bundled into every Amplitude plan. The Free plan includes 500 AI Visibility prompts and 2M analytics events a month; Plus raises that to 1,000 prompts, and Growth and Enterprise are sales-priced at 2,500 and 5,000 prompts. Billing is metered on usage.

Prompt metrics export to a spreadsheet up to 10,000 rows, and the full dataset can go to a connected data warehouse. The revenue link depends on being an Amplitude analytics customer.

What it does well

  • Labels each answer positive, neutral or negative.
  • Ties AI-referred visits to conversions and revenue.
  • Starts at $0 a month with 500 prompts.
  • Sends the full dataset to a connected data warehouse.

Where it falls short

  • Queries ChatGPT and Google AI Overview and no other engine, on any plan.
  • No public API for AI Visibility.
  • The revenue view needs an existing Amplitude analytics account.

5. Bloomiro

Best for one dashboard covering SEO and AI answers: Bloomiro puts Google Search Console clicks and queries in the same project as AI answer tracking in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and both Google AI surfaces.

  • Free trial: 3 days
  • Who it’s for: Software marketing teams that want one dashboard for search and AI answer work.
  • Skip it if: You pipe data into a warehouse, since programmatic access is MCP-only; Rankshift connects Looker Studio, BigQuery and Tableau over a standard database connection.

Bloomiro checks saved prompts against ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Google AI Overview and Google AI Mode, reporting mentions and citations per engine. Claude is not a tracked engine; it connects as an MCP client that reads Bloomiro data.

Search Console clicks, impressions, click-through rate and query data import into the same workspace. Site and page scans check titles, metadata, headings, schema and answer-style coverage, and an action layer ranks the next task with its reason.

A 3-day free trial comes first. Sites are capped by plan, each an isolated project with its own scans and competitors, and credits reset each month without rolling over. MCP access comes on every paid plan.

What it does well

  • Search Console data and AI answer results in one workspace.
  • Ranked tasks that combine scans, competitor gaps and AI results.
  • Tracks Copilot and Google AI Mode.
  • MCP access on every paid plan.

Where it falls short

  • Claude, Grok and Meta AI are not tracked.
  • Programmatic access is MCP-only, which does not fit a classic data warehouse pipeline.
  • Credits reset monthly and do not roll over.

6. CisionOne AI Visibility

Best for communications teams already on CisionOne: CisionOne AI Visibility reports the sentiment attached to brand mentions in AI answers inside the CisionOne workspace communications teams already run.

  • Free plan: no
  • Who it’s for: Public relations and communications leads already on CisionOne who want AI answer visibility in the same workspace.
  • Skip it if: You have no CisionOne subscription, since it is sold as an add-on to one; Amplitude AI Visibility starts at $0 a month and labels answers positive, neutral or negative.

CisionOne AI Visibility monitors brand, competitor and topic presence across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek, Google AI Overview, Google AI Mode and Mistral. It reports sentiment in AI answers, share of voice against tracked competitors and which prompts drive appearances.

It is a paid add-on that needs an existing CisionOne subscription, and there is no free plan. Several dashboards can run at once with usage reported across the organization, but each is read-only after setup.

Several target markets can run in parallel, though each extra location multiplies the answers consumed. The CisionOne API covers media monitoring, with no AI Visibility endpoint. The module launched in July 2026.

What it does well

  • Reports the sentiment of brand mentions in AI answers.
  • Covers Grok and DeepSeek beside ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude.
  • Measures share of voice against tracked competitors.
  • Runs in the CisionOne workspace communications teams already use.

Where it falls short

  • Needs a CisionOne subscription; it is not sold on its own.
  • Copilot and Meta AI are not covered.
  • AI Visibility data has no API endpoint.

7. auto-geo

Best for developer-led teams auditing pages for citation: auto-geo scores any page against 8 citation-readiness checks and then measures whether engines cite your domain, from a free command-line tool.

  • Free plan: yes
  • Who it’s for: Developer-led teams or solo marketers who work in a terminal and want to audit and rewrite pages for citation.
  • Skip it if: You want a dashboard or Google AI Overviews monitoring; Bloomiro tracks Google AI Overview and Google AI Mode in one workspace.

auto-geo audits a page, then generates or rewrites pages to the same checklist. Its check command queries Perplexity, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or xAI’s Grok directly and reports whether a domain is cited for a tracked prompt. Each run is saved, and its history shows which prompts were newly cited or lost.

The tool is free, but writing, fixing and checking run on your own API keys, so each run carries a small model cost. It calls provider APIs rather than consumer apps or Google AI Overviews. There is no country or market setting, and the page audit is English-only.

Output is a stable structured report for your own dashboards, with no warehouse connector. It is a young single-maintainer project created in June 2026.

What it does well

  • Audits pages against 8 citation-readiness checks.
  • Generates and rewrites pages to that checklist.
  • Measures real citations in Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Grok.
  • Free to install.

Where it falls short

  • No dashboard; results come as command-line output and structured files.
  • Queries model APIs, not consumer apps or Google AI Overviews.
  • Every run spends your own API credits.

8. Archytas AISpy

Best for solo consultants tracking on their own keys: Archytas AISpy suits solo consultants because it tracks brand, product and people mentions even when no link is given, free on your own API keys with no cap on brands tracked.

  • Free plan: yes
  • Who it’s for: Solo consultants and small in-house teams who want unlimited tracking across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews with no monthly subscription.
  • Skip it if: You would rather pay a subscription than run a desktop app on your own paid keys; RadarKit starts at $29 a month and runs the checks in real browsers itself.

Archytas AISpy runs prompts against ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity through their own APIs, plus Google AI Overviews and AI Mode through a built-in third-party integration. It tracks mentions that carry no link and shows the web searches a model runs before answering. A follow-up question on a stored answer can classify its sentiment.

The app is free and stores everything locally, so there is no cap on brands, prompts or competitors. Each engine needs your own paid key, plus third-party credentials for the Google surfaces. It runs on Windows and Apple Silicon Macs, with Linux still to come.

Scheduled runs export spreadsheet files, or a business intelligence tool can read the local database file directly. Grok and Copilot are not tracked.

What it does well

  • Free with unlimited brands and prompts.
  • Tracks brand, product and people mentions in AI answers alongside linked citations.
  • Maps the web searches behind each answer.
  • Scheduled exports that business intelligence tools can read.

Where it falls short

  • Every engine runs on your own paid API key.
  • No Linux build yet.
  • No MCP server; the vendor says it is on the roadmap.

“ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Mistral, and Meta AI. You can track all of them or only the ones relevant to your market.”

Which one to pick

  • If you need sentiment tracking at no cost and your team already runs Amplitude: pick Amplitude AI Visibility. Amplitude AI Visibility comes free at $0 a month on every Amplitude plan, and its Sentiment tab labels each answer positive, negative, mixed or neutral with recurring themes per label, tied to the revenue data your team already reads.
  • If you need sentiment tracking for free and can pay the engines directly through your own API keys: pick Archytas AISpy. Archytas AISpy has a free plan and runs on your own paid keys for each engine. It reports the people, organizations, products and topics engines attach to your prompts, and you get a sentiment reading by asking a follow-on question to a model you choose.
  • If you need sentiment data inside your own BI dashboards: pick Rankshift. Rankshift exposes its data over a standard database connection that Looker Studio, BigQuery, Tableau and Metabase connect to, so its themes per model and its -10 to +10 score sit beside your other reports.
  • If you need sentiment across Grok and DeepSeek inside an existing communications suite: pick CisionOne AI Visibility. CisionOne AI Visibility names Grok and DeepSeek in its supported models and breaks sentiment down per tracked entity as positive, neutral and negative, sold as an add-on to an existing CisionOne subscription.
  • If you are a small team or a solo practitioner who wants a low monthly plan: pick RadarKit. RadarKit’s Lite plan costs $29 a month and still scores mentions positive, mixed or negative with the traits AI ties to the brand, built for small marketing teams and solo search marketers.

How we ranked

We compared 8 tools on price, free plan and 3 questions a buyer asks, reading each vendor’s pricing page and product pages between 1 September 2026 and 18 October 2026. We did not sign up for or run any of them. The product we could confirm most about comes first.

Questions buyers ask

Which AI visibility tools report brand sentiment?

Rankshift, RadarKit, Amplitude AI Visibility, CisionOne AI Visibility and Archytas AISpy report it, 5 of the 8. Rankshift adds a score from -10 to +10 to its positive and negative themes per model, and RadarKit scores mentions positive, mixed or negative with recurring attribute phrases. Amplitude labels each response positive, negative, mixed or neutral, and CisionOne AI Visibility splits sentiment per tracked entity to read against public relations activity over time. Archytas AISpy has no built-in score: it reports the entities engines attach to your prompts, and you ask a model a follow-on question for sentiment.

Does AI Search Watcher show how AI describes my brand?

Partly. AI Search Watcher says it reports how the models describe and frame a brand when it is mentioned, beyond a named or not-named check. It publishes no sentiment score or named set of attributes, so a team that needs a score should ask Mangools for a sample report before buying.

Is there a free tool that tracks brand sentiment in AI answers?

Yes: Amplitude AI Visibility costs $0 a month and its free plan includes 500 AI Visibility prompts with a Sentiment tab. AI Search Watcher, Amplitude AI Visibility, auto-geo and Archytas AISpy have a free plan, 4 of the 8, and Archytas AISpy is the other free one that reports how engines describe a brand. Its free plan means no software fee, but you pay each engine through your own API keys.

Which sentiment trackers cover Claude?

Rankshift, CisionOne AI Visibility and Archytas AISpy both report sentiment and track Claude, which 5 of the 8 tools cover. Rankshift tracks Claude on every plan but charges more credits per Claude run than for most engines, and CisionOne AI Visibility names Claude in its supported models. Archytas AISpy queries Claude with your Anthropic key and can track Haiku, Sonnet and Opus as separate columns. RadarKit and Amplitude AI Visibility do not query Claude.

Can I buy CisionOne AI Visibility on its own?

No. CisionOne AI Visibility is a paid add-on that requires an existing CisionOne subscription. Every published CisionOne package routes to a sales conversation, and buyers add the AI Visibility module through an account manager.

How much does RadarKit cost and how often does it refresh?

RadarKit starts at $29 a month on its Lite plan, which covers 2 projects and 15 tracked prompts, with a 7-day free trial. Lite refreshes every 72 hours, while the Growth and Pro plans refresh daily. API access sits on the custom-quoted Enterprise tier.

Do I need my own API keys to track AI answers?

Only for some tools: Archytas AISpy needs your own paid API keys for every engine it tracks, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Perplexity. auto-geo needs your own keys for its write, fix and check runs, so each run carries a small, variable model cost on top of the free tool. The hosted trackers run the queries for you.

Which tools send AI visibility data to a BI tool?

Rankshift, Amplitude AI Visibility and Archytas AISpy do, 3 of the 8. Rankshift exposes a standard database connection that Looker Studio, BigQuery, Tableau and Metabase connect to with account credentials. Amplitude exports a file of up to 10,000 rows or sends the full dataset to a connected data warehouse. Archytas AISpy offers scheduled file exports or a direct connection to its local database file, with no managed connector.
