AI-Visibility Tools With API Access at Entry-Level Pricing

The 16 AI-visibility and GEO tools in our index that put API or MCP access on their cheapest self-serve tier — not walled off behind a custom Enterprise quote, the way it is on Otterly AI, Scrunch AI, Surfer SEO, RankScale and several others in the same set.

We checked how every one of the 57 Published tools in our index prices API and MCP access and found a split most vendors don't advertise: a raw "has an API" claim (32 of 57 listings) says little about whether a buyer can actually reach it without an Enterprise sales call. Only 16 clear a stricter, buyer-relevant bar — API or MCP access is available on the tool's cheapest self-serve tier (or its one real tier, for the pay-as-you-go, free-tier and self-hosted products in this set), not reserved for a custom-quoted plan.

Some of the clearest examples: Sleepwalker, Bloomiro and Canonry never gate it at all — API/MCP access is the native interface from the first signup or the only tier that exists. Rank Prompt's API request quota actually scales WITH the tier (10k/month on its $49 Starter plan up to 100k/month on Agency Plus), rather than appearing only once you upgrade. Morningscore's own pricing page states plainly that a full REST API ships on every plan, "even the cheapest" — unusual for a tool in its price range. geoSurge goes furthest of all: its entire $0/month BYOK tier — not merely the cheapest paid plan, since it has no paid plan below Enterprise — already ships a full REST API, CSV/JSON export and MCP access; only its separate "Corpus Engineering" toolkit, not API access itself, sits behind the custom Enterprise quote.

The excluded majority is the more common story. Otterly AI, Scrunch AI, Surfer SEO, RankScale, Nightwatch, Knowatoa, AIclicks, GeoRankers, Local Dominator AI Tracker, Goodie AI and Local Falcon all publish a real API or MCP feature somewhere in their lineup — but every one of them reserves it for a pricier self-serve tier, a custom Enterprise quote, or (Local Falcon) a tier one step above the very cheapest. Two more near-misses didn't make the cut for a different reason: Writesonic and Promptwatch both document a working API, but neither ties it to a specific published pricing tier, so we couldn't confirm where the gate sits; BabyLoveGrowth's "API" is a content-publishing integration (pushing generated articles to WordPress/Webflow), not a way to pull AI-visibility data, so it answers a different buyer question than this list.

Why this collection

A tool earns a place here only if its own CitedIndex listing's sourced pricing or feature copy confirms API and/or MCP access to its AI-visibility data is available on a tier that does not require a custom Enterprise quote or a sales call — for most tools, that means the cheapest published self-serve paid tier; for the pay-as-you-go, free-Beta and self-hosted open-source products in this set, their one real tier. An API mentioned only in general marketing copy with no tier attached, or an API that serves a different purpose (e.g. publishing content rather than reading visibility data), is not counted.
