What Changed at CitedIndex, July 20–24
We re-research listings, add new tools, and correct vendor facts continuously rather than on a fixed release schedule, which makes it easy for something genuinely useful to slide past a reader who last checked in a few days ago. This is a plain recap of everything that changed between July 20 and July 24, 2026 — eleven new tools, eighteen alternatives pages, twenty head-to-head comparisons, two acquisitions we caught before they were widely reported, and six new guides — each with one line on why it matters. We’ll keep publishing these as the index keeps moving.
11 new tools added to the index
- BabyLoveGrowth — a free, no-signup GEO audit tool bundled inside a broader AI content, backlink and citation-tracking subscription. Worth knowing if you want a free first check before any paid commitment.
- AEO Engine — the same free-audit-first model, backed by a managed AEO content-and-citation service from $1,597/month. The done-for-you counterpart to BabyLoveGrowth’s self-serve angle.
- RankZero — a done-for-you AI-visibility service with a written 25%+ (50%+ on its top tier) AI-traffic-lift guarantee in 90 days, a genuinely unusual commitment in this category.
- Goodie AI — a self-serve AEO platform that adds product-feed-level tracking for AI shopping assistants like Amazon Rufus and Walmart Sparky, a distinct use case from brand-mention monitoring.
- Local Falcon — the original geo-grid local-rank tracker, now applying the same per-location methodology to AI answer engines. The clearest bridge between classic local SEO and GEO.
- GEO Tool — a free, no-signup GEO readiness audit from an established German digital agency, with a €299 deeper report as the only paid step.
- ZipTie — real-browser AI Overview capture that returns the exact answer text plus a downloadable screenshot, rather than an API paraphrase; narrower engine coverage (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity only) than most rivals here.
- Rankshift — 9-engine AI visibility tracking paired with real AI-crawler log evidence (bot name, page path, HTTP status), not just prompt sampling.
- LLMrefs — one flat $79/month plan tracking brand visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and more, with no tiers to compare against each other.
- Ubersuggest — NP Digital’s budget SEO suite now bundles AI Search Visibility (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini) into every paid plan from $29/month, the cheapest entry point in the index with any AI-engine tracking at all.
- Qwairy — a 10-engine, EU-hosted GEO platform bundling AI-citation monitoring, crawler analytics and an MCP server from €65/month; the EU-hosting angle is a real differentiator from the mostly US-based tools in this index.
That brings the index to 54 Published listings.
Two acquisitions we caught
- Surfer SEO was acquired by Positive Group in October 2025 — folded into our listing’s ownership facts and pricing context.
- Scrunch AI was acquired by Sitecore (announced 2026-06-03, ~$225M reported), which also drove a full pricing-tier overhaul (Core renamed Starter, a new Growth tier added, engine access unified across tiers) that we propagated across every page that restates Scrunch’s plans.
Both are logged in our running vendor-facts-that-changed tracker, now covering ten dated drifts we’ve caught by re-verifying a vendor’s live page before republishing a fact that cites it — not just these two.
18 alternatives pages and 20 head-to-head comparisons
We closed out alternatives pages for tools that had gone without one, including Scrunch AI, Otterly AI, Profound, Frase, and Digital Elevator — Scrunch AI and Otterly AI in particular were the highest-traffic listings in the index still missing one. On the comparison side, three-way and head-to-head pages now cover most of the citation-services (agency) cluster for the first time, including First Page Sage vs iPullRank vs Omniscient Digital, alongside dozens of tool-vs-tool pairs across visibility-monitoring, rank-tracking and geo-optimization.
6 new guides — every major AI answer engine now covered
We finished the engine-by-engine “how to get cited” guide set: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot — the last of the six to ship, closing a gap where Copilot was only a secondary mention in broader guides despite being a real tag on 14 of our listings. We also published a buyer-facing GEO Agency or Software? decision guide comparing the two purchase models on nothing but our own gate-passed pricing data.
New research and data reports
