Peec vs Profound vs Scrunch vs Otterly: How to Choose

Peec AI, Profound, Scrunch AI and Otterly AI offer different combinations of monitoring capacity, source analysis and workflow features. Comparing the entry prices alone misses the plan you would actually need. This page puts those choices side by side without treating a selected shortlist as the entire market.

The quick answer

• A small, four-engine monitoring panel on a limited budget: consider Otterly Lite, listed at $29/month for 15 tracked search prompts. That is a concrete low-cost option in this comparison, not a finding that it is the cheapest credible tool in the category.
• A workflow organized around cited domains and pages: consider Peec’s source analytics. Its pricing page describes daily monitoring with three selected models included and additional models available to add; do not assume Enterprise is the only way past three.
• Monitoring plus site audits in a named workspace: consider Scrunch Core, listed at $250/month with 125 unique prompts, five site audits a month, one brand workspace and five users. It includes four core engines, not six on every tier.
• Monitoring combined with content-generation and optimization workflows: consider Profound’s Agents allowance as well as its engine limits. Starter is $99/month billed yearly and ChatGPT-only; Growth is $399/month billed yearly with three engines. Enterprise is custom.

These are use-case prompts, not a tested ranking. Decide which engines, markets, prompt panel, source-level detail and integrations are non-negotiable before selecting a plan.

A tracked prompt is a configured question in a monitoring panel, not necessarily one answer execution per month. Compare cadence and engine coverage as well as the panel size. Four engines checked daily are a different workload from one engine checked weekly. Also distinguish web-answer products such as Google AI Overviews from a similarly named underlying model API.

Where each one actually differs

Otterly AI explicitly lists both brand-mention tracking and link-citation analysis, including on Lite. Its pricing page shows four core engines with Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini as paid add-ons. Daily monitoring and unlimited team members are listed. The concrete constraints are panel size and entitlement: the $29 plan has 15 prompts, while API and MCP features start at Standard. A citation view is not automatically absent because a tool is inexpensive. Nor does a cited link prove that the page supports every nearby sentence in an answer; source review remains a separate task.

Peec AI offers citation-source analysis at domain and URL level, source classification and gap analysis. Those reports can identify places to investigate, not guarantee that a publication will cover you or an engine will select you. Its pricing page lists ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Perplexity and Gemini among the available self-serve model pool. Three models are included; the page says additional models can be added without switching plans. Enterprise advertises up to 12 tracked LLM models. The previous claim that self-serve was capped at three and Enterprise merely unlocked all six was therefore too restrictive.

Peec’s tier capacities and model language were readable, but the price amounts were not recoverable from the source text in this correction. The earlier €85–€425 range is not presented as a current rate. Confirm the displayed currency, billing period, additional-model cost and project allowance before treating it as cheaper or more expensive than another platform. No account was created to obtain a quote.

Scrunch AI lists a $250/month Core plan on its pricing page, not the Starter/Growth structure described in the previous article. Core includes ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot; the Enterprise card advertises nine-LLM coverage, API/integrations, SAML/OIDC SSO, an account team and Agent Experience Platform access. Core’s one brand workspace, five-user limit and five monthly audits are meaningful buying constraints for a multi-client agency. Do not equate a broad product logo wall with the engines or workspace count included in the entry plan. A seven-day Core trial is advertised, but this comparison did not run it.

The earlier article also linked a reported Sitecore acquisition to a claimed pricing overhaul and used that sequence as roadmap evidence. This correction does not establish that causal sequence or independently review the previously cited announcement. It is not used as evidence for the current plan table. If roadmap independence matters, ask about contractual continuity, export and integration plans rather than inferring them from a transaction headline.

Profound lists an annual commitment behind its $99 and $399 monthly-equivalent rates. Its pricing page pairs Starter’s 50-prompt ChatGPT monitoring with 100 Agents credits a month, and Growth’s 100 prompts across three engines with 400 Agents credits. Agents are described as content-generation and optimization workflows. These credits are not additional monitored prompts; compare their consumption separately. Enterprise adds custom monitoring scope and support/security provisions. A dollar figure for an entry plan does not establish that a required multi-engine workflow is affordable on that plan.

The earlier “most-searched” positioning, funding discussion and claim that self-serve pricing appeared for the first time in July are not needed to compare these capabilities and are not established by the pricing evidence reviewed here. They should not stand in for a trial using your actual requirements.

Choose X if / pause the purchase if

• Choose Otterly for the shortlist if a small daily panel on its four core engines meets the brief. Pause if add-on engines, a larger prompt panel or Standard-level integration access change your actual budget.
• Choose Peec for the shortlist if cited-source analysis and project organization match your workflow. Pause until the price, additional models and API entitlement are explicit. Lack of a recoverable price in this review does not mean the vendor has no public price.
• Choose Scrunch for the shortlist if the combined monitoring and audit allowance is useful. Pause if one Core workspace or four core engines is insufficient, or if API/enterprise identity requirements require a custom quote.
• Choose Profound for the shortlist if its monitoring and Agents workflows both have a use in your team. Pause if you need multiple engines at the Starter rate, a monthly rather than annual commitment, or an integration not yet confirmed in your plan.

For any trial or sales demonstration, use the same proposed prompt panel and engines. Inspect an actual answer and its citation URLs, confirm historical retention and export, and ask how failed or missing answers enter the reported denominator. This article reports public packaging, not a side-by-side execution or accuracy benchmark.
