The frozen category-question panel recorded for Cited·Index on 2026-08-26. A historical reference for editions that cite it, not a statement that collection is active.

Scope clarification, 5 September 2026. The panel data is unchanged. Earlier copy said every question was asked to every engine on every pass; the collector can select different tiers and API configurations, and requests can fail or be left unasked. Recurring collection is not active. See the current protocol for on-demand sampling and its limits.
Why the panel is frozen
Holding a category panel still helps distinguish changes in the question set from changes in returned answers. It does not control model versions, retrieval behaviour or collection coverage, and does not by itself make two observations comparable.
The generator reuses this pin when including the category tier. A deliberate re-pin selects a new panel version; it does not revise the historical questions below. Other tiers use different questions, and a saved result is not proof that the whole category panel was collected.
API configurations recorded for this panel
These are the requested API model aliases associated with this panel version, not immutable native model revisions or a record of consumer-app sessions. An edition's observed rows determine which configurations were actually sampled. Matching an alias cannot guarantee an exact replay, and this panel establishes no controlled locale or proof of web-search execution.

How the category is bounded
Questions were selected from external search-demand data, not from our own pages. Two rules filtered eligible terms: a keyword had to match the in-category vocabulary and not match a known other-industry term.
These vocabularies are editorial choices. They can omit relevant terms or admit ambiguous ones; the resulting panel is not a representative sample of every buyer question or market.
