The neutral index of AI-visibility & GEO tools

Head to head

Local Falcon vs RadarKit

Local Falcon has tracked local search rankings since 2018 and extended that per-location grid method to AI answer engines, selling unlimited locations on every tier and unlocking API access one tier above its cheapest plan. RadarKit launched in September 2025 built for AI visibility from the start, naming six tracked answer engines on its pricing page, including Perplexity and Copilot, which Local Falcon's own pages do not consistently confirm, but capping location counts by tier and reserving API access entirely for a custom Enterprise quote. The deeper split is what each company is built to prove: Local Falcon proves where visibility is weak across many storefronts, RadarKit proves it across the widest named engine list for a single operator.

Local Falcon and RadarKit both track how a brand shows up inside AI-generated answers, but they come from different histories. Local Falcon began in 2018 as a geo-grid local-rank tracker for classic Google and Apple Maps results, independently credited by BrightLocal as the first tool to offer grid-style local search ranking, and later added an AI Search Visibility module that applies the same grid method to AI answer engines. RadarKit launched in September 2025, built for AI visibility from the start, and tracks brands by visiting ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode directly through real browsers instead of polling each platform's API.

Engine coverage is the first place the two diverge, and the comparison cuts both ways. RadarKit names six answer engines on its own pricing page: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, though it does not track Claude at any tier. Local Falcon's marketing names five engines, including Grok, but the structured engine data on Local Falcon's own CitedIndex listing confirms only three (ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews), and that listing's own verdict states Local Falcon documents its engine coverage inconsistently across its pages. A buyer who needs confirmed Perplexity or Copilot coverage should trust RadarKit's published list over Local Falcon's.

The two also answer the same location question in opposite directions. Local Falcon sells unlimited keywords and locations on every tier, including its $24.99-a-month Starter plan, and meters usage through a shared credit pool instead: a 5x5 geo-grid scan costs 25 credits, and grids range from 3x3 up to 21x21. RadarKit states a location count per tier: 50-plus locations on Lite ($29/month), Growth ($79/month) and Pro ($139/month), rising to 70-plus only on its custom-priced Enterprise plan.

API access is the sharpest procurement split. Local Falcon includes API, Zapier and n8n integration, and MCP Server access starting on its $49.99-a-month Basic tier, one step above the entry plan. RadarKit reserves its API entirely for the custom Enterprise tier, so a self-serve buyer on Lite, Growth or Pro cannot get programmatic access at any published price. RadarKit's subscription also bundles content-generation, outreach and Reddit-monitoring agents on top of tracking; Local Falcon's plans stay a measurement and reporting product.

Limitations
  • The AI Search Visibility module ships with five tracked engines on Local Falcon's dedicated module page (ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Grok). The broader features overview page names seven or eight (adding Perplexity, Apple Intelligence and Copilot in different blocks). If Perplexity, Copilot or Apple Intelligence matter to you, confirm current coverage directly before buying. (2 sources)
  • Every feature (geo-grid map scans, AI-visibility checks, Falcon AI reports, Falcon Agent workflows) draws from one shared monthly credit pool, so heavy AI-engine monitoring competes with the platform's original local-rank-tracking scans for the same limited allotment. (1 source)
  • Does not track Claude at all, unlike most six-engine rivals in this index (e.g. RankScale, Nightwatch, Promptwatch). A real gap for buyers who need Anthropic-model coverage. (2 sources)
  • API access is reserved entirely for the custom-quoted Enterprise tier. Every self-serve plan (Lite through Pro) has no API, a stricter gate than most tools in this index's own entry-tier-API-access collection. (1 source)
  • The cheapest tier refreshes only every 72 hours, versus daily refresh on Growth and Pro and same-day or real-time tracking common among established rivals. (1 source)

Verdict: Local Falcon or RadarKit?

Pick Local Falcon if more than one location is in scope: a franchise, a multi-location business, or an agency running client accounts. Its per-location grid answers where in a service area AI visibility is weak, a question an averaged brand score cannot answer. Unlimited locations are included at every tier, and API access starts one tier above the cheapest plan instead of behind a sales call. Local Falcon is also the more established company: it has tracked local rankings since 2018, against RadarKit's roughly one year in business with no independent reviews found on G2 or Capterra.

Pick RadarKit for a solo operation or small team on a tight budget that wants the broadest confirmed engine list in one place. RadarKit names Perplexity and Copilot coverage plainly; Local Falcon's own pages do not confirm either consistently. RadarKit also bundles content-generation and outreach agents into the same subscription, and its $29 Lite plan ships a 7-day free trial that Local Falcon does not offer at any tier.

The two ways to get this wrong are specific ones. A multi-location business that picks RadarKit for its lower entry price will hit a location count on every tier and pay a custom Enterprise quote just to reach API access. A solo consultant who picks Local Falcon for its $24.99 Starter price loses API and integrations until the $49.99 Basic tier, and gets a shorter, less clearly documented AI-engine list than RadarKit states outright.

Frequently asked questions

Does Local Falcon or RadarKit track more AI answer engines?
RadarKit names six answer engines on its own pricing page: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, though not Claude at any tier. Local Falcon's marketing names five engines including Grok, but its structured CitedIndex listing data confirms only three (ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews), and that listing's own verdict notes Local Falcon states its engine coverage inconsistently across its own pages.
Does either tool limit the number of locations you can track?
Local Falcon does not limit locations: unlimited keywords and locations are included on every tier, starting at $24.99 a month. RadarKit states a location count per tier instead, 50-plus locations on its Lite, Growth and Pro plans, rising to 70-plus only on its custom-priced Enterprise tier.
Which one includes API access, and at what price?
Local Falcon includes API access, Zapier and n8n integration, and an MCP Server starting on its $49.99-a-month Basic tier. RadarKit reserves API access entirely for its custom-priced Enterprise plan, so a self-serve buyer on Lite ($29), Growth ($79) or Pro ($139) cannot get it at any published price.
How long has each company been operating?
Local Falcon has tracked local search rankings since 2018 and was independently credited by BrightLocal as the first grid-style local rank tracker; it was later acquired by dbaPlatform. RadarKit was founded in August 2025 by brothers Sanjay and Shubham Singh and launched the following month, so it is under a year old with no independent reviews found on G2 or Capterra as of this comparison.
Does either tool do more than track AI visibility?
RadarKit does: its subscription bundles content-generation, outreach and Reddit-monitoring agents alongside tracking. Local Falcon's plans stay a measurement and reporting product, extending its existing local-rank-tracking credit model to AI answer engines without adding separate content or outreach tools.
