# SSO and SOC 2 in AI-Visibility Tools: Included or Gated?

_We checked 58 AI-visibility tools for SSO, SOC 2 and other trust controls. Only two publish them at a fixed price — the rest require a custom Enterprise quote._

If your company has a vendor-security-review step, buying an AI-visibility or GEO tool runs into it the same as any other SaaS purchase: someone in security or IT will ask whether the tool supports SSO, whether it's SOC 2 certified, and who signs off if something goes wrong. Most AI-visibility vendors answer that question the same way — "talk to sales." We went through every published pricing tier across all 58 tools in this index looking for exactly that: SSO/SAML, SOC 2 or other named compliance certification, audit logs, and dedicated-account/SLA support. The pattern is consistent enough to be useful on its own.

## What we found

Thirteen tools in the index mention a security or account-trust control by name in their own published pricing or product copy. Of those thirteen, only two make it reachable without a custom quote.

The other 45 tools in the index simply don't mention SSO, SOC 2, audit logs or a named SLA anywhere in their own published pricing or feature copy — which isn't the same as confirming they lack these controls, only that neither the vendor's own pricing page nor any source we've verified says so one way or the other.

## The one pattern that matters

Ten of the thirteen gate every meaningful trust control behind a tier priced "Custom" — the pricing page equivalent of "we'll tell you once you're on a call." That's the default in this category, not an outlier. Writesonic is the one clean exception: SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA aren't an upsell, they're facts about the company that hold regardless of which of its published tiers you buy. Nightwatch is the partial exception — SSO and a dedicated account manager sit on a real, published €399/month price tag rather than a "contact us" wall, but you still have to buy the second-most-expensive tier to get there, not the cheapest one.

Two smaller findings worth naming directly:

- **An absence can be a documented finding, not just a gap in our research.** LLMrefs is the one case in this table where "no SOC 2" isn't silence — it's called out directly, by an independent review, as a real limitation for compliance-sensitive buyers considering LLMrefs' single flat-rate plan.

## What this means if you're buying

1. **"Has SSO" and "your budget's tier has SSO" are different questions.** As with API access ([our prior check on that exact pattern](/blog/mcp-server-support-ai-visibility-tools-2026) found the same gating habit), a vendor's homepage or comparison-page checkbox for "SSO" rarely tells you which price tier actually includes it.
2. **If your security review needs a SOC 2 report before you can even get budget approval, ask before you demo.** Of the tools in this index that mention SOC 2 at all, only Writesonic includes it without an Enterprise conversation — everyone else in this table requires you to already be far enough into a sales process to have a quote.
